15:20 15/11/2012 It’s really an honour and privilege meeting the person whom you look up to and inspired with your common passion. If you recall we just met the headstand guy aka Edcel of Soloflighted.com (link here) last August and had him stayed in our humble abode for a day. Yet, another travel/food blogger, humbly spare his time despite of his very hectic schedule to meet us. Without further ado, meet the person behind the renowned Beyond Toxicity @ docgelo.com no other than Doc Gelo Santos. We’ll no longer elaborate about his blogging career cause you might be an old follower of his blog or have at least read and visited it once.
We knew few months back that Doc Gelo will be going to KL in November for some important errands. So we take that opportunity and asked if he had a time. We’re so glad and excited for letting us know that he will going to meet us. But where? Doc Gelo suggested to meet at Tokyo Street, Pavillion KL and we agreed right away since we haven’t visited this portion of Pavillion Mall.

Our call time for meet up was 3PM onwards and the moment he said he’s approaching, we can’t wait but meet him at the escalator. After a quick introduction and acquaintance formalities, we all agreed to hit the Japanese resto at Tokyo Teppan.
Sky ordered Salmon Teppanyaki, California Maki and Ice Green Tea while Summer had ordered her favourite Chicken Teppanyaki.
For Doc Gelo he choose Sashimi and Pieces of Chicken( Sumimasen, forgot the actual name). The food presentation did able to justify as it taste good, almost heaven. But we’re more focus and pre occupied talking with Doc Gelo rather than evaluating the food. We shared stories about work, travel, food, and mostly life of being OFW here in Malaysia. At one point we had a lot of things in common that we experience living in Boleh Land and that will be off the record as agreed upon.

After few rounds of Ice Tea refills, all had felt to visit a loo. But before that, a photo ops is required for a souvenir. Yet it’s not yet done, since we really admired that winning photo that he submitted online and that same photo make us inspired to visit the place it self.
We printed the picture and showed it to him and requested for an autograph. Doc Gelo was kinda surprised and asked again if we’re really serious. Yes we are, so we handed over the photo together with Permanent Marker. It left him no choice but have him signed with this ambush Fan Autograph session, hehehe.
Sky was proudly showing a photo with a signature of Doc Gelo while Summer did a great job documenting this autograph session. But actually we’re fulfilling of what we had said three month’s back if Doc Gelo can still recall. Oh Well,I got a screenshot for that.
But one thing didn’t happen he failed to collect 1RM per signature. Doc Gelo was too kind to agree on our request and that earns him more of our respect.

By the way here is actual photo with a signature of Doc Gelo and we’ll keep it as a souvenir. This photo will forever remind us, that this is the sole reason why we visit Khlong Hae Market of Hatyai, Thailand!
After exchanging goodbyes, he immediately rush to his another assignment. Again, Thank you so much Doc Gelo 😉 wink wink
Your avid fan,
Sky and Summer
