Byhalf Cafe, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

18:30 05/12/2015 Sri Petaling earned the reputation as the foodie haven in Klang Valley. We heard so much by word of mouth about restaurants and coffee shops which has good reviews. Since we stayed at H Boutique Hotel situated in this area.  The hotel staff  recommended to drop by at Byhalf which is located on the same lane with the hotel. We got puzzled on how they come up such coffee shop name until we saw their menu board outside. Byhalf   is  actually an acronym of “by having a little faith” which the owners had believed in.

The moment we stepped in at the cafe we already feel the good vibe and its homey atmosphere. We met the two co-owners of Byhalf Cafe and shared tidbits of information. About starting a coffee shop, where the coffee beans came from and the unique menu that can be found on this Cafe.

The co-owners are very hands on, they prep the food, cook and even bake those yummy cakes.

We settled on this lounge area which we felt like our living room extension. Cozy ambiance plus comfortable bean bags. Our drinks had been served alternately then our food.

Food

We got Pasta ( Pumpkin and Marinara with bacon and chicken) and Salmon Hambagu. Accompanied with Iced Earl Grey Mojito, Caramelized Apple Latte, Hot Varlhona Chocolate and Affogato.

The pasta don’t impressed us but was ok nonetheless. It’s Salmon hambagu who got our nod and two thumbs up here.

Fresh salmon had been made into patty, marinated then grilled. Together with toasted wheat bread, dipping of tartar sauce and fresh veggies. This combo surely wins any fish lover and health conscious. A very hearty treat! Nom Nom nom!

Byhalf Alchoholic Cake

Byhalf Choco Banana Cake
These cakes are the product of kitchen experiment by the owner which later on crafted it to perfection. Alchoholic cake is bliss. It has the right amount of sweet, enough to tickle our sweet taste buds. While Choco Banana cake won us over. The banana and choco mashed up delighted our sweet palate. Cake some more!

Byhalf’s Affogato is something unique. Instead of the usual vanilla they made used of coconut ice cream which complemented  well with the two shots of espresso. Bitter sweet concoction is love.

The caramelized apple latte is the perfect match when gobbling those sweet treats above. The distinct fruity apple scent balances off the strong coffee aroma.

Byhalf Cafe opens every day except Tuesdays. Visit them on the foodie paradise of Sri Petaling. Should try that Salmon Hambagu!
