Temporary Abode: Green View Beach Resort, Koh Lipe Thailand

14:30 30/04/2015 Gawking at the verdant and cerulean colors of the picturesque shoreline of Koh Lipe. It is surreal. The vivid photos of Green View Beach Resort we’d admired on the Agoda listing didn’t lie. It’s one of the handsome beachfront we sighted. Our eyes were glued on the view and grinned. As if we’re induced with laughing gas. The fifty bucks boat transfer seems worth it despite the short distance being covered. Our preview was cut short when our boat docked on the shore

Location

80 Moo 7 Tambon Koh Sarai

Pattaya Beach Koh Lipe
Thailand 91100

Striding from the ferry terminal of Pattaya Beach to Green View Beach resort will take about 3 minutes. Quite near to the Walking Street where shops, restaurants, bars and massage parlors are located.  It’s walking distance to Sunrise and Sunset beach and stone away to Pattaya beach.

Check In

Check In    Time :   2:00 PM (Thailand Time, +7 GMT)
Check Out Time : 11:00 AM (Thailand Time, +7 GMT)

We arrived around 3PM, just on time for check in. A young man welcomed us to Green View with clasped hands and friendly smile. An expected Thai hospitality. We showed our Agoda voucher while he verify our booking details online. In just two minutes we got our keys for our temporary abode. Out of curiosity we asked how he was able to do that fast. Simple, they got a blazing internet speed. Heaven!

While waiting for our room to be settled, we hang out at the reception. Khao the cute receptionist cat of Green View keep us preoccupied. He’s one of a kind smart feline we encountered on our travel.

Standard Fan Bungalow

Our temporary abode reminds us of simple dwelling of bamboo nipa hut in a province. Most of the building materials used on the bungalow are ecological friendly. Low consumption lights, solar heated water treatment and recycling are Green View’s advocacy.

It has the basic amenities as expected for a budget stay. We had a comfortable sleep during our two night stay here at Green View despite the loud chorus of crickets at night.

The queen size bed is covered with a mosquito net( you’ll be grateful for having this). Two soft pillows and a thin blanket are provided.

A functional wall fan which supplies temporary cool air at night is god sent. You won’t survive the warm sea breeze without this.

Comfort Room

The comfort room is an extended space of the bungalow. It has a toilet bowl with bidet, lavatory with complimentary toiletries ( Shampoo, Body wash, and Sanitary Tissue).

Just beside the sink, a cold shower is available with acceptable water pressure. Keep your insect spray at bay, as mosquitoes tend to harass while you’re cooling at the shower.

Veranda and Garden

Trees, shrubs, vines and ornamental plants surrounded the bungalows at Green View. Literally speaking this might be how they name after this resort.

Each bungalow has it’s own veranda and support pillows for lounging. Our fav spot of the bungalow where we enjoy our snacks and reading our favorite book. We got mindful not to be swarmed by gigantic mosquitoes, so insect spray is a must.

Beachfront

One of the advantages of staying at Green View is using their bamboo lounge chairs for free. Resort guests are allowed to utilize anytime they want on a first come first serve basis. Within five meters around the reception, Wifi signal is still fast and reliable.

We had definitely the best time of our lives staying at Green View Beach Resort. Sipping the best beer, watching the tanning bods and admiring the pretty Pattaya beach.

Poseidon, please summoned us back!

If you asked if we’ll come back and stay here. Definitely Yes. We will trade comfort for that view above.

Note:
This is not a sponsored post but our way of appreciation with our good stay in this resort hotel
